KEN BROWN

I am 6' 1" tall and weigh 300 pounds. I am originally from Potter Valley, which is a small town in northern California with a population of about 1,500 people. I grew up on a cattle ranch with my parents (Jack and Pat), three brothers (Jim, Don and Dave), and two sisters (Judy and Kathy). I now reside in Kerman, California with my wife Barbara. I manage the real estate appraisal department for a national agricultural lending institution and I have a small herd of beef cattle.

I started training with weights in 1978 in order to add size and strength for football. After playing football in high school and college I started competing in powerlifting in 1986. My first strongman competition was the US Strongest Man contest in 1997 where I finished in fourth place. Strongman highlights include second place in the 1999 US Strongest Man contest, Alternate for the finals at the 1999 Worlds Strongest Man contest, fourth place in the 2001 North Americas Strongest Man Contest and third at the 2003 North Americas Strongest Man contest.

My best lifts in competition are 865 pound squat, 640 pound bench press and 804 pound deadlift. My best lifts in the gym are 870 pound squat, 655 pound bench press and 865 pound deadlift. I currently hold the world record in the Silver Dollar Deadlift at 1,125 pounds set on 8/23/2008 using the Titan Dual Quad Deadlift Suit. A photo of this lift is above.
