I am 52 years old, married with two children. My daughter Alli is 17. She just spent a year in Italy as an exchange student. My son Max is 14. He plays soccer and martial arts. My wife Ann is a successful age group tri-athlete and runner. I am a registered civil engineer working for the State of Alaska, Department of Transportation. When I am not training, I am the Vessel Construction Manager for the Alaska Marine Highway System. I am also an adjunct professor. I teach Project Management at the University of Alaska.
My wife and I both teach Spinning, which is indoor group cycling. I know, it sounds stupid, a room full of people on exercise bikes. Hey, Powerlifting sounds dumb too. I also train in Shotokan karate with my son.
My training philosophy: If I can't outlift you, I will outlive you.
