Suzanne "Sioux-z" Hartwig was born October 5, 1968 in Watertown, South Dakota to DeWayne and Phyllis Hartwig, and grew up with three siblings. They include one brother Deano, and two sisters, Debra & Sandra.
She was a small town girl growing up in Lake Norden, South Dakota, with a population of just 400 people!..."We had a cornfield behind our backyard!"
"I love most all sports. Growing up I was catcher on our softball team, cheerleader, played basketball (guard of course), ran track and played intramural volleyball. I always played football at recess and finally got to play on a flag football team in college. Let me say that full contact football seems less dangerous to me than flag, those women were vicious!"
